This hiking route is located in a beautiful area with a mix of historic and natural landmarks to explore. The trail is 17.327 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 461 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take approximately 5 hours and 9 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Convento San Nicola, a historic ruins site located just 0.18 kilometers from the trail. Further along the route, at 2.46 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the mura megalitiche, an archaeological site with ancient walls.
Midway through the hike, at 5.69 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Molino di Casoli, a scenic water mill by the trail. Make sure to bring enough water for the journey as the next water source, Bottino, is located 5.73 kilometers from the start.
Towards the end of the trail, at 8.66 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Sorgenti Capo d'Acqua, a refreshing spring to rest and refill your water supply. The endpoint of the route is the Bottino water source, providing a serene spot to relax before making your way back.
