This hiking route takes you through a challenging terrain of approximately 17.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 461 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers. The trail starts at a parking area near Sorgenti Capo d'Acqua, where you can enjoy the serene natural spring before embarking on your adventure.

As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. About 0.18 kilometers from the start, you will find the ruins of Convento San Nicola, a historic site that offers a glimpse into the past. Further along, at approximately 2.46 kilometers, you'll encounter the megalithic walls of mura megalitiche, another archaeological site worth exploring.

Midway through the hike, at around 5.73 kilometers, you'll reach Bottino, a picturesque water spot where you can take a break and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Nearby, at 5.69 kilometers, you'll also find the Molino di Casoli ruins, adding to the historical richness of the trail.

Towards the end of the route, at 8.66 kilometers, you'll find another water point, Bottino, offering a refreshing stop before you head back. As you make your way back, take a moment to appreciate the stunning views from Colle dei Ciociari and Colle dei Cerri peaks, located at 5.27 and 4.98 kilometers respectively from the start.
