This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Strada Statale 76 della Val d'Esino. The 5.617 kilometers long trail offers a moderate level of difficulty with an elevation gain of 357 meters, making it suitable for hikers with some experience.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. Approximately 0.2 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Falesia di Ponte Chiaradovo, a popular climbing spot with no entrance fee. Continuing on, at around 1.81 kilometers into the hike, you will find the ruins of Eremo di Grottafucile, a historic site that adds a touch of charm to the trail.
Along the way, there are various points of interest such as an information point (0.53 km), a wayside shrine (0.09 km), and cave entrances including Riparo sopra il Pontechiaradovo (0.09 km) and Riparo presso la Cava Romita (0.69 km). These spots offer insight into the natural and historic significance of the area.
As you progress further, make sure to hydrate at the drinking water point located 0.09 kilometers into the hike. Additionally, do not miss out on the beautiful viewpoint at 2.81 kilometers which offers a stunning panoramic view of the surroundings.
