This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Steinschlaghore peak on Mäggisserenstrasse. With a total distance of 12.255 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1468 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart.

Starting at Studio Elsighorn, you will embark on your journey with parking available nearby. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across benches at the 0.51 kilometer mark where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along at 1.02 kilometers, you will find another bench to pause and take in the views.

Midway through the hike, approximately 5.73 kilometers from the start, you will reach the majestic Steinschlaghore peak. Take your time at this natural wonder and marvel at the beauty that surrounds you. Additionally, at 1.97 kilometers, there is an information point at Ueblenberg where you can learn more about the area.

On the way back, you will pass by Gunngstand at 4.26 kilometers and Tussweide at 3.06 kilometers, both offering valuable information about the region. Finally, as you approach the end of the trail, you will encounter another peak at 6.13 kilometers, perfect for a last glimpse of the stunning landscape.

Due to the length and elevation gain of this route, it is crucial to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
