This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading you to the Niederegghütte destination.

Starting off the hike, you will pass by the Laimeralm restaurant, located just 0.22 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to grab a bite before beginning your trek. As you continue, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for those arriving by car.

Midway through the hike, at around 3.09 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Rotwandsattel, where you can find information about the area and take in the panoramic views. Further along the trail, at 3.12 kilometers, you will see the peak known as Rotwandl, although it is not directly on the trail.

After a total distance of 3.52 kilometers, you will finally arrive at the Niederegghütte alpine hut. This is a perfect place to rest and refuel before heading back the way you came.

With a total distance of 7.03 kilometers and an elevation gain of 489 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers. Be sure to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before setting out. Enjoy the challenge and the breathtaking scenery along the way!
