Welcome to the Holzweg hiking route! The Holzweg is an easy circular trail that spans approximately 2.64 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

As you embark on this scenic journey, you'll encounter several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find convenient parking facilities at various locations, so you can easily start your adventure. As you make your way through the trail, you'll come across multiple benches where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Around the midway point of the hike, you'll discover the historic Graue Burg (Gray Castle) standing majestically off the trail. Although it's not directly on the trail, it's worth a slight detour to explore this piece of history.

Throughout the hike, you'll also encounter refreshing water sources, perfect for replenishing your supplies. These natural water spots are strategically placed along the route, ensuring you stay hydrated during your expedition.

Before setting out on the Holzweg, remember to bring an ample water supply, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast.
