This hiking route will take you to the Schänzelturm area, starting from the parking lot near the destination. The trail is an out-and-back route, covering a distance of 1.644 kilometers with an elevation gain of 36 meters.

As you start your hike, you will pass by the Schutzhütte Lolosruhe shelter, providing a resting spot along the way. Further along the trail, you'll come across the Steigerkopf peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. Make sure to stop by the Parkplatz Lolosruhe viewpoint to take in the beauty of the area.

For history enthusiasts, there are several historic sites along the trail, including boundary stones and memorial markers such as Ritterstein Nr. 68 and Ritterstein Nr. 238.

The highlight of the hike is the Schänzelturm, a viewpoint where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the landscape. The tower offers a bird's eye view of the surroundings, making it a perfect spot for photography and relaxation.
