This challenging hiking route to Peilspitze covers a distance of 8.375 kilometers with an elevation gain of 835 meters, taking approximately 4 hours to complete. The trail begins at a parking area located at the trailhead. It is important to note that hikers should check the weather forecast before setting out and bring an adequate supply of water.

As you start your journey, you will come across Stockeben Brunnen, a refreshing spring located just 0.43 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the route, at a distance of 2.66 kilometers, you will reach a viewpoint that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 2.99 kilometers from the start, you will find the AV Wetterschutzhütte shelter where you can take a break and enjoy a rest. As you continue on, you will encounter a rock formation at 2.66 kilometers from the start, adding a scenic element to your trek.

At the 4.19-kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Peilspitze, the destination of this out-and-back route. Take in the breathtaking views from the summit before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
