This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Obersee. The trail is a moderate difficulty level, covering a distance of 5.841 kilometers with an elevation gain of 259 meters. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.
As you start your hike, you will come across a convenient parking area at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to carry enough water as you progress, although there is a drinking water point located 0.48 kilometers from the start to refill your supplies.
As you venture further along the trail, you will reach Obersee, a picturesque water body located 2.92 kilometers from the start. Take some time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and maybe even have a picnic by the shore.
Along the way, you will also encounter a spring at 2.84 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing stop to rest and rehydrate. Additionally, a wayside cross dedicated to St. Wendelin can be found nearby, adding a touch of history to your hike.
Remember to take breaks at the benches placed conveniently every few kilometers to catch your breath and admire the scenic views.
