This moderate 5.841-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the beautiful Obersee area. The trail starts at a parking area located at the beginning of the route. Make sure to bring enough water and check the weather forecast before embarking on this nearly 2-hour journey.
As you make your way along the trail, you will come across a drinking water point at 0.48 kilometers from the start, where you can refill your water bottle. Further along, approximately 2.92 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Obersee, a serene water spot perfect for a rest or some photography.
At around the midway point, you will find a wayside cross named St. Wendelin, a historic landmark worth exploring. Additionally, there are benches along the trail at 2.92 kilometers, providing hikers with a place to sit and enjoy the surrounding nature.
Although there is a shelter located at the beginning of the route, it is not directly on the trail. Therefore, it's advisable to carry your own necessities with you.
