This challenging hike will take you through the beautiful landscape of El Tojo. The trail spans approximately 8.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 321 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey.

Starting at the parking area near Cementerio, you will embark on this out-and-back route. Be sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before setting out.

As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across a water source at around 0.42 kilometers in. This is a great spot to take a break and rehydrate before continuing on.

Around 3.68 kilometers into the hike, you'll find yourself near the peak of Arbaltzaga. While it's not directly on the trail, you may choose to make a slight detour for stunning views of the surrounding area.

Further along the trail at approximately 4.4 kilometers, you'll reach the peak of El Tojo. This is the highlight of the hike, offering breathtaking panoramic views as a reward for your efforts.

On your way back, you'll pass by the ruins of Horno de calcinación de La Lejana at about 0.95 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to explore this historic site before completing the hike.
