This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding El Tojo. The trail is 8.803 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 321.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this journey, make sure to bring an ample supply of water and check the weather forecast to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

You will start your hike at the Cementerio parking area. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across a drinking water station at the beginning to refill your water bottles. Approximately 0.42 kilometers from the start, you will pass by a water source, offering a refreshing break along the way.

Midway through the hike, at a distance of 3.68 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the peak of Arbaltzaga, although it is slightly off the trail. At 4.4 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of El Tojo, which marks the turnaround point of this out-and-back route. Take in the stunning views from the summit before heading back towards the starting point.

Along the way back, about 0.95 kilometers from the start, you will pass by the ruins of Horno de calcinación de La Lejana, providing a glimpse into the area's historic past.
