Welcome to the Herrensteig hiking route! This challenging out-and-back trail spans 9.098 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 759 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek for experienced hikers.

The trail starts at the parking area near Parkplatz Naturfreundehaus, where you can find helpful information about the route. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by a refreshing spring at 2.42 kilometers in, providing a nice spot to rest and refuel. Further along the trail at 4.55 kilometers, you'll reach a scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 3.18 kilometers, you'll find a drinking water station to hydrate and replenish your water supply. As you continue on, you'll come across a peaceful bench at 2.25 kilometers, perfect for taking a moment to soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Towards the end of the trail, at 1.08 kilometers, you'll encounter a picturesque waterfall, a great spot to capture some memorable photos before heading back to the starting point.
