Welcome to the hiking route at Nahal Elal Trail in the Golan Heights region. This circular route offers breathtaking views and a challenging terrain for hikers to enjoy.
Starting at the trailhead, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you embark on your journey, you will come across a picturesque viewpoint about 3.15 kilometers into the hike, offering a perfect spot to take in the surrounding landscape.
Further along the trail, at around 4.44 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another viewpoint known as "מצפה הבנים." This vantage point provides a unique perspective of the area and is a great place to rest and refuel.
For those in need of hydration, a drinking water station is located approximately 4.33 kilometers into the hike. Remember to bring enough water with you as well, given the length and difficulty of the route.
Additionally, there are picnic sites along the way, with one situated at 0.93 kilometers from the start. It's a great spot to pause for a meal and soak in the natural surroundings.
As you continue your trek, be prepared for a challenging ascent and descent, as the trail covers a distance of 9.014 kilometers with varying elevations. The route is rated as difficult due to its length and elevation gain, so make sure to assess your fitness level before attempting it.
