This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Strada Comunale Monteflavio. The trail is approximately 15.5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 579 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike. About midway through the hike, you will pass by Ponte del Diavolo, an archaeological site that adds a historical touch to your adventure.
Throughout the trail, you will also find sources of water to replenish your supplies, such as drinking water points located at 0.36 kilometers and 7.38 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there are informational points like Pozo Fornillo and Moricone, offering insights into the surroundings along the trail.
Towards the end of the hike, you will encounter Colle dei Cerracchi, a peak that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape, although it is located slightly off the trail.
