Welcome to the hiking route to Pico da Garita!

This 6.66-kilometer moderate difficulty trail will take you on an out-and-back journey through a beautiful natural area.

As you start your hike, you will pass by the SONOS restaurant about 0.87 kilometers from the beginning. This is a great spot to grab a meal or snack before continuing on your adventure. Further along the trail, at around 3.33 kilometers, you will reach the Pico da Garita peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Along the way, you will also encounter the Fonte da Madalena spring at 2.5 kilometers and Restaurante Playa Louro at 0.26 kilometers, providing opportunities to rest and refuel.

The trail will lead you through varied terrain, with an elevation gain of 212 meters, so be prepared for some uphill climbs. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
