Located in the Sha Tin District, the Sha Tin Country Trail offers a moderate 5.5-kilometer hike with an elevation gain of 403 meters. The circular route starts at Mei Chung Court Multi-storey Car Park, where hikers can easily park their vehicles before embarking on the journey.

As you begin the hike, you will pass by May Shing Court Multi-storey Car Park, just 0.1 kilometers from the start. Along the trail, you will also come across a water source only 0.01 kilometers from the beginning, providing a great opportunity to refill your water bottles.

Approximately midway through the hike, at 2.23 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further along, at 2.34 kilometers, there is a shelter available for hikers to take a break and rest.

Continuing on, at 2.47 kilometers, you will reach a saddle point with beautiful views of the surrounding natural landscape. As you approach the 2.5-kilometer mark, you will encounter two peaks, offering stunning panoramic vistas of the Sha Tin District.

Towards the end of the trail, at 2.34 kilometers from the start, you will find yourself at the picturesque Needle Grass Saddle. Take a moment to appreciate the serenity of this location before completing the loop back to the starting point.
