This hiking route takes you from the starting point at Waldparkplatz Wolfsbrunnen to the Felsenmeer-Hütte near Heidelberg. The trail covers a distance of 2.341 kilometers with an elevation gain of 181 meters, taking approximately 45 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area of Waldparkplatz Wolfsbrunnen, you will first pass by the Wolfsbrunnen, a natural water feature, before heading towards the Felsenmeer-Hütte. Along the way, you will find benches where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across the Felsenmeerquelle, a natural spring, and informational points such as the Wolfsbrunnen-Anlage and Wolfsbrunnensteige. These points provide insights into the history and geology of the area.
The Felsenmeer, a rock formation, is another point of interest along the route. You can also stop at viewpoints with benches to take in the scenic views of the surroundings.
The Felsenmeer-Hütte, located at the end of the trail, offers a shelter for hikers to rest and refuel before heading back on the out-and-back route.
