This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Chemin de la Basse-Mie. The 12.157-kilometer trail offers stunning views and a challenging terrain, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will pass by a wayside cross located 2.74 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This historic site offers a glimpse into the past and is a perfect spot to take in the surroundings.
Along the way, you will come across several water sources, some closer to the start of the trail and others further away. Be sure to refill your water bottles at the designated points to stay hydrated during your hike.
One interesting point of interest is "Le moulin à marée de Beauchet," a tidal mill located 3.92 kilometers from the start of the trail. This historic site adds a unique touch to the hike and is definitely worth a visit.
The route is an out-and-back type, so you will retrace your steps on the way back. Remember to pace yourself, bring plenty of water, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure. The total elevation gain of 69.0 meters adds to the difficulty of the hike, so be prepared for a strenuous but fulfilling experience in the beautiful surroundings of Chemin de la Basse-Mie.
