Welcome to the Arzberg hiking route! This challenging 8.135-kilometer circular trail showcases the natural beauty of the area while providing a good workout with an elevation gain of 136 meters.
Starting at the parking area, you'll begin your journey through the picturesque landscape. Along the way, you'll come across points of interest such as the well-known Arzberghütte alpine hut located approximately 3.77 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments while taking in the stunning views.
As you continue on the trail, you'll encounter the peak of Arzberg, located midway through the hike. This is a great opportunity to capture some breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Further along, you'll also come across a couple of wayside shrines and informational points providing insights into the history and culture of the region.
Towards the end of the hike, you'll pass by the Gasthof Krutzler restaurant, perfect for a post-hike meal to refuel. Finally, the route concludes back at the parking area where you started.
