Welcome to the hiking route to Pico Mayor! This circular route covers a distance of 4.465 kilometers with an elevation gain of 260 meters, taking approximately 1 hour and 41 minutes to complete. The difficulty level of this hike is moderate.
The trail starts at a parking area, located right at the beginning of the route. As you begin your journey, you will come across a drinking water point, where you can refill your water bottles before heading further. About midway through the hike, you will reach La Arena, a saddle point offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
One of the highlights of this route is reaching Pico Mayor, a peak located 2.1 kilometers from the start. Here, you will also find the Dolmen del Pico Mayor, an archaeological site that adds a historical touch to your hiking experience.
