Located in the beautiful region of Oberstaufen, the Katzensteig hiking route offers a pleasant and easy outdoor experience for nature enthusiasts. This out-and-back trail spans a total distance of 2.293 kilometers with an elevation gain of 106 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Hopfenlift parking area, situated just 0.17 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a convenient spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike. Further along the path, at the 0.49 kilometer mark, you will encounter a refreshing natural water source, perfect for refilling your water bottle and taking a moment to rest.

Continuing onwards, at the 0.89 kilometer mark, you will find an information point offering insights into the local area and its surroundings. As you trek further, reaching the 1.15 kilometer mark, a stunning viewpoint awaits, providing panoramic vistas of the stunning landscape below.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter benches (0.62 kilometers and 0.58 kilometers in) where you can take a break and admire the scenic views. Additionally, various water sources are scattered along the trail, ensuring you stay hydrated during your adventure.
