This hiking route takes you along the Lienzer Höhenweg in a beautiful area with stunning views. The trail is 7.577 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 500 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take about 3 hours.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Faschingalm parking area, which is located right at the beginning of the trail. It is a convenient spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on your hike. As you continue on, you will find the Naturfreundehütte Vinzenz Biedner alpine hut about 0.9 kilometers into the trail. This charming hut is open from June to October and from December to Easter, providing a cozy resting place for hikers.
Further along the trail, at a distance of 3.79 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a refreshing water source. It is crucial to stay hydrated during your hike, so take this opportunity to refill your water bottles.
Although there is a restaurant called Faschingalm near the trail, it is located off the path, so plan your meal breaks accordingly.
