This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Karstein - Lachtalalm-Sattel. The trail is 12.26 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 442 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 56 minutes to complete.

Along the way, you will come across various points of interest (POIs) that will enhance your hiking experience. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Alpenhaus restaurant, where you can grab a bite to eat before starting your journey. Further along, at around 4 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Lämmerbühelalm alpine hut. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the beautiful surrounding views.

As you continue on the trail, you will come across a peak called Hornköpfl, located just 0.05 kilometers from the start of the trail. This peak offers breathtaking panoramic views, although it is slightly off the main trail. Another peak, located around 6.13 kilometers from the start, is worth a visit for more stunning views.

Throughout the hike, make sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle at the drinking water point located at approximately 4 kilometers into the trail. Additionally, it is important to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike.

Keep in mind that this route is an out-and-back trail, so you will be retracing your steps on the way back. Be prepared for a strenuous hike with steep inclines and rocky terrain.
