This hiking route takes you through the stunning Karstein area, offering breathtaking views and a challenging adventure. With a total distance of 12.26 kilometers and an elevation gain of 442 meters, this extremely difficult trail will test your hiking skills.

Starting off at the trailhead, you will pass by the Alpenhaus restaurant located right at the beginning of the route, perfect for a quick meal or snack before embarking on your journey. As you continue your hike, you will come across the Lämmerbühelalm alpine hut, approximately 3.97 kilometers from the start, providing a cozy spot to rest and take in the surrounding nature.

Make sure to stay hydrated along the way by refilling your water bottles at one of the drinking water stations conveniently placed near the trail, around 3.98 kilometers from the start. As you push forward, you'll encounter the peak of the trail at 6.13 kilometers, offering panoramic views of the area.

While the trail is challenging, the Hornköpfl peak is a great addition to the hike, located just 0.05 kilometers off the main trail. Although not directly on the trail, it's worth the extra effort to reach this beautiful spot.
