This extremely difficult 14.161-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning Tschadinhorn peak in a picturesque area. The trail starts at a parking area, 0.47 kilometers from the beginning. As you embark on this challenging journey, make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, and check the weather forecast before heading out.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. About 3.57 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Lesachhütte restaurant, where you can take a break and enjoy some sustenance. Further along, at 3.59 kilometers from the start, there are multiple information spots to learn more about the area.
At the midway point, 7.08 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Tschadinhorn peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take your time to soak in the beauty of the natural surroundings before heading back.
On the return journey, you can visit the wayside cross Glödiskreuz and the wayside shrine, both located off the trail. Keep an eye out for the bench at 0.3 kilometers from the start, where you can rest and admire the scenery.
With an elevation gain of 1526 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. The duration of the hike is approximately 7 hours and 5 minutes. Remember to pace yourself and take breaks as needed.
