This challenging hiking route will take you to the peak of Αστραπή, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The total distance of the out-and-back trail is 8.307 kilometers with an elevation gain of 716 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 42 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the trailhead, providing easy access to the starting point. Along the way, at around 3.45 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Ορειβατικό Καταφύγιο Κόζιακα (Koziakas Alpine Hut), where you can rest and refuel before continuing your ascent.

At approximately 3.47 kilometers into the hike, there is a drinking water station for hikers to hydrate. As you push towards the peak, you will encounter another drinking water station at 3.31 kilometers, a perfect spot to refill your water bottles.

Towards the end of the trail, about 4.15 kilometers from the start, you will reach the majestic peak of Αστραπή, where you can take in the breathtaking panoramic views. Additionally, there is a shelter located 0.3 kilometers off the trail for hikers seeking a place to rest and seek refuge.
