Located in the picturesque Austrian Alps, the Ochsenalm Weg (Zollner) hiking route offers a scenic and relatively easy trek for outdoor enthusiasts. This out-and-back trail covers a distance of approximately 4.2 kilometers with an elevation gain of 74 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

Starting off at the trailhead, hikers will come across the Friedenskapelle memorial, situated just 0.24 kilometers into the hike. This peaceful chapel provides a serene spot to pause and reflect before continuing on the journey. Further along the trail, at around 0.35 kilometers, hikers will find the Zollnersee Hütte, a cozy alpine hut and restaurant where they can grab a bite to eat or enjoy a refreshing beverage.

As you make your way through the trail, you'll encounter various points of interest such as a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the route. It's recommended to start early and bring plenty of water, especially during the warmer months. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before setting out is always a good idea.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 2.09 kilometers, you'll reach a peak offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to soak in the beauty of the mountains and valleys below before heading back towards the starting point.

Although there are a couple of off-trail points of interest, such as the Seebühel peak, the majority of the route is well-marked and easy to follow. With its manageable distance and moderate elevation gain, the Ochsenalm Weg (Zollner) is a great choice for a leisurely day hike in the Austrian Alps.
