Welcome to the Pastirska pot hiking route!

This route is located in a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is 3.857 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 671 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. It takes approximately 2 hours and 34 minutes to complete.

Starting from the parking area, you will first come across the Koschutahaus / Koča pod Košuto alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy some snacks before continuing on your journey. As you hike along, you'll pass by the Mejniksattel saddle and the Westschluchscharte / Zahodna škrbina saddle, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Midway through the hike, you'll encounter the ÖTK Klettersteig via ferrata, where you can test your climbing skills and enjoy a different kind of challenge. Make sure to stay hydrated and bring plenty of water, as this part of the hike can be quite strenuous.

Towards the end of the trail, you'll reach the Ostrv / Kainradlturm peak, where you can marvel at panoramic views of the area. Finally, on your way back, you can stop by the information points to learn more about the history and geology of the region.
