This hiking route takes you through the stunning 436 - 436 - Lesachtal area, known for its breathtaking alpine scenery. The trail is 8.579 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 868 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the Rifugio Edoardo Tolazzi, a charming alpine hut located just 0.11 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and refuel before continuing on. Further along the trail at 2.47 kilometers in, you'll find the Rifugio Lambertenghi Romanin, another cozy alpine hut offering a picturesque setting.
As you hike onward, you will pass by the Wolayer See - Lago Volaia, a beautiful lake located 2.77 kilometers from the starting point. This natural water feature provides a serene setting to take in the surrounding nature.
Midway through the hike at 4.29 kilometers, you will come across Passo Volaia / Wolayer Pass, a scenic mountain saddle offering panoramic views of the area. This is a great place to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
Towards the end of the trail, at 2.99 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Wolayerseehütte, an alpine hut that is open from June 18th to October 2nd. This is a good spot to rest before heading back.
