Welcome to the hiking route to Ermita Vieja - Camino de Marchena. This trail offers a challenging yet rewarding outdoor experience in a beautiful natural setting.
Beginning at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area, located just 18 meters from the start of the trail. Make sure to park your vehicle here before embarking on your journey. As you continue along the path, you will come across a refreshing water source about 3.82 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to refill your water bottle and take a short break before carrying on.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter another water source located about 3.92 kilometers from the start. Take this opportunity to hydrate and rest before pushing through the remaining distance. Along the way, you will also pass by the Biodilar Alayos restaurant, perfect for a post-hike meal to refuel your energy.
While exploring the trail, keep an eye out for the Cueva del Saúco cave entrance, located off the main path. Although it's not directly on the trail, it's worth a visit if you have the time and energy to explore a bit further.
This out-and-back route spans a total of 7.834 kilometers with an elevation gain of 426 meters, making it a difficult trek that is best suited for experienced hikers.
