This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sentiero Rocca Pendice. The trail is an out-and-back type, offering stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting off at the trailhead, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the hike. As you continue, you will encounter various climbing sectors such as Settore Numerate Alte, Settore Lavagne Nere, Settore Diavolo, and more. These climbing spots provide a thrilling challenge for rock climbing enthusiasts.
Approximately midway through the hike, you will find a drinking water station, a peak called Monte Pendice, and several rock formations to admire. Further along the trail, you will pass by historic ruins, information points about the flora and fauna of Rocca Pendice, and a picnic site called Area di sosta "Rocca Pendice".
Towards the end of the trail, you will reach a viewpoint overlooking the area and the Castello di Speronella, a historic castle ruins. Nearby, there is also an ex cisterna from the castle and a memorial for Gianfranco Toso.
With a total distance of 1.134 kilometers and an elevation gain of 148 meters, this hike is rated as easy in terms of difficulty. However, it is always important to come prepared with water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on the journey.
