This extremely difficult 14.639-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through a mesmerizing alpine landscape near Königsalm.

Starting off at the parking area, you'll quickly come across a wayside cross just 0.05 kilometers from the trail. As you continue on, you'll pass by the historic Dürrieglalm alpine hut at the 5.21-kilometer mark, offering a perfect resting spot with stunning views.

Further along the trail, about 4.23 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter another wayside cross before reaching the Königsalm alpine hut at 6.96 kilometers into the hike. This is a great place to refuel and take in the beauty of the surroundings.

For those interested in exploring more, a cave entrance named Gaisstiegelschacht is located 3.94 kilometers from the start, just a short detour from the main trail.

Throughout the hike, be prepared for a total elevation gain of 651 meters, so make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. The duration of this hike is estimated to be around 5 hours, so starting early in the day is advisable.
