The Reitsteig hiking route is located in a picturesque area with stunning natural beauty. This trail is 13.663 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1117.0 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across the tranquil Delps See, situated 6.77 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This serene lake offers a perfect spot to take in the peaceful surroundings and maybe even have a picnic.

About halfway through the hike, at 5.29 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Tölzer Hütte, a charming alpine hut that serves as a restaurant. Here, you can replenish your energy with a hearty meal while enjoying the scenic views.

Throughout the trail, there are several water sources available, such as Brotzeithütte, located 2.48 kilometers from the start, and other water points for your convenience.

It's important to note that there are boundary stones and historic memorials along the way, adding a cultural aspect to your hike. Keep an eye out for landmarks like the Meister Martin Aschenbrenner memorial, located 5.37 kilometers into the hike.
