This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to Foresteria Paolo Verthuy on Monte Avic via the normale S-SW trail. The 15.532-kilometer journey involves a challenging elevation gain of 1000 meters and is estimated to take around 6 hours and 5 minutes to complete.

Starting at the Parco del Mont Avic, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. About 7.66 kilometers from the start, you will come across Lago De La Leita, a beautiful water feature perfect for a rest stop. Further along at the 6.74-kilometer mark, you will encounter Gran Lago, another picturesque spot, albeit not directly on the trail.

As you continue your trek, you will also pass by Lago Muffé at 1.34 kilometers from the start, followed by Rifugio Barbustel at 3.2 kilometers in. Keep an eye out for Colle del Lago Bianco, located right on the trail at 2.49 kilometers from the start.

For sustenance and information, you will find Bar Ristoro Lago Muffé at 1.27 kilometers from the start, Foresteria Paolo Verthuy at 7.25 kilometers, and various information points scattered throughout the route.
