This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Alto de los Escajos. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 6.783 kilometers and an elevation gain of 424 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

As you start your hike, you will pass by the Antiguas escuelas de Angustina, ancient ruins located just 0.06 kilometers from the trail. These historic ruins offer a glimpse into the past of this area.

About 2.84 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a natural water feature, a peaceful spot to rest and take in the surroundings.

Around 0.3 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a wayside shrine, adding a cultural and historic element to your journey.

At the 0.99-kilometer mark, you will reach El Canto Partido, a peak that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Further along the trail, at 3.39 kilometers from the start, you will reach the highest point of the hike, Alto de los Escajos, another peak where you can enjoy breathtaking views.
