This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you to the beautiful Combe des Foges (Aval) with access to Tête Pelouse in the region. The 12.129 kilometers long trail offers an elevation gain of 768.0 meters, providing a challenging and rewarding experience for hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by P0 parking area right at the beginning of the hike. As you continue on the trail, about 0.8 kilometers in, you'll come across Le Bissac restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat. Further along, at 0.75 kilometers from the start, La Cascade restaurant is situated outside the trail. It is recommended to refill your water bottles at the various water sources next to the trail around the 6 kilometers mark.
Around the 4.26 kilometers mark, you'll reach Col Pelouse, a notable saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, at 4.85 kilometers into the hike, you'll pass by Tête Pelouse peak although you may need to venture off the trail a bit to reach it.
On your way back, you can take a break at The Flying Dutchman bar situated at around 0.45 kilometers from the start. Additionally, you'll find Le Blanchot restaurant at 2.61 kilometers into the hike and several other dining options nearby.
