Welcome to the Vallée de la Durèze hiking route! This trail offers a super easy hike with a total distance of approximately 1.045 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it perfect for beginners or those looking for a leisurely stroll in nature.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across the Place des Moines, a parking area located just 5 meters from the trail. As you continue on, you will pass by the Tranchée supérieure, an aqueduct with a historical significance, located at around 0.52 kilometers from the start of the trail.
Midway through your hike, you will reach La Cave du Curé, an archaeological site that is 0.39 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and explore some history along the way. Further down the trail, you will find the Pierre de Chagnon, a boundary stone with wheelchair accessibility, located right on the trail at the beginning.
Before making your way back, be sure to visit the viewpoint at 0.52 kilometers from the start, offering stunning views of the surroundings. As you head back towards the trailhead, you can also spot a wayside cross and a memorial, adding to the historical charm of the route.
