This hiking route will take you on a 10.78-kilometer adventure through the beautiful area of Hüreli. The trail has an elevation gain of 826 meters and is considered difficult due to its length and elevation.
You will start your journey at the parking area near the trailhead. From there, you will pass by the Drusatscha See, a picturesque lake located 1.44 kilometers from the start of the trail. After a short distance, you will come across information points where you can learn more about the area's flora and fauna.
As you continue on the trail, you will reach Höhwald, a lovely picnic site with BBQ facilities, perfect for a mid-hike break 0.24 kilometers from the start. Further along the route, you will encounter several water sources, including the Drusatscha stream, providing a refreshing stop for hikers.
At midway point of 5.08 kilometers, you will find the peak of Hüreli offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to take a moment to rest at the benches scattered along the trail and stay hydrated during your hike.
Before embarking on this challenging hike, remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast. With a duration of approximately 4 hours and 33 minutes, this circular route will lead you back to your starting point, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Hüreli area.
