This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes and historical points of interest. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 7.188 kilometers and an elevation gain of 297 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Your journey begins at the trailhead where you will find parking available just 0.1 kilometers away. As you start your hike, you will pass by the Gasthof Strebinger restaurant and the Drunken Donkey Irish Pub around the 0.1 kilometer mark, where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink before hitting the trail.
Around 1.18 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a bench where you can take a rest and enjoy the surrounding views. Continuing on, you will encounter the Steurer Biergarten and Lackner restaurant at the 0.29 and 0.14 kilometer marks, respectively.
Halfway through the hike, at approximately 3.35 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Steinfeldhütte alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the mountain atmosphere. Nearby, you will also find a picnic site and memorial, adding a touch of history to your journey.
Throughout the trail, there are several benches and wayside crosses where you can rest and admire the scenery. Additionally, there are facilities such as drinking water stations to keep you hydrated along the way.
As you near the end of the hike, around the 3.31 kilometer mark, you will pass by an information point and wayside crosses that offer insights into the area's heritage. Finally, at the 0.79 kilometer mark, you will find another bench for one last rest before completing the hike.
