This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Sasso del bersagliere area. The trail covers a distance of 5.346 kilometers with an elevation gain of 520 meters, making it a difficult trek that will test your endurance and stamina.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a convenient parking area, just 7.85 meters from the trail. As you continue on, about 1.73 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Rifugio Pier Fortunato Calvi alpine hut, which is open from June 15th to September 30th. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the mountain views.

Further along the trail, at approximately 2.4 kilometers in, you'll find a historic wayside cross standing at a distance of 42.20 meters from the trail. This is a perfect spot to pause and appreciate the cultural significance of the area.

As you near the midway point of the hike, you'll encounter the Sorgenti del Piave, a natural water source located just 0.1 kilometers off the trail. This can be a refreshing stop to refill your water bottles and take in the beauty of the surroundings.

At the end of the hike, after approximately 2.67 kilometers, you'll reach the Sasso del bersagliere peak, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the area. This is a rewarding endpoint for your trek.

Throughout the hike, be sure to bring an ample water supply, as well as snacks and sunscreen. It's also recommended to check the weather forecast before setting out, as mountain weather can be unpredictable.
