This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Posta in Salita. The 16.559-kilometer trail offers a challenging hike with an elevation gain of 845 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding.

As you start the hike, you will come across a parking area, providing a convenient spot to leave your vehicle. Continuing on, at around 4.76 kilometers from the start, you will reach Colletta di Costafinale, a beautiful saddle offering panoramic views of the surroundings.

Around 6.56 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter Valico di Barbagelata, another impressive saddle along the trail. Nearby, at 6.35 kilometers from the start, Rifugio Barbagelata stands as a welcoming alpine hut where you can rest and refuel for the journey ahead.

As you progress further, at 6.97 kilometers from the start, you will find another parking area. Be sure to stay hydrated by utilizing the drinking water sources located along the trail, especially the one situated at 6.12 kilometers from the start.

Towards the end of the route, at 8.28 kilometers from the start, you will reach Posta in Salita, a scenic viewpoint offering a perfect vantage point to admire the landscape.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across various amenities such as cafes, a restaurant named Il Rifugio del Cacciatore, and memorials like the one commemorating the events of August 13, 1944.
