This challenging hiking route takes you through a stunning area with diverse landscapes and beautiful viewpoints. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 7.985 kilometers and an elevation gain of 377 meters, making it a difficult hike that will reward you with breathtaking sights along the way.
Starting at The Divide parking area, you will embark on your journey with the first point of interest being The Divide Shelter located just 0.05 kilometers from the trailhead. This shelter provides a nice resting spot at the beginning of your hike.
As you continue along the trail, approximately 3.36 kilometers in, you will come across a natural water source ideal for refilling your water bottles. Further along at 3.41 kilometers, be sure to pause at an amazing viewpoint overlooking the valley, offering a spectacular vista worth capturing.
At the midway point of the hike, around 3.44 kilometers in, you will reach Key Summit, a peak that promises stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby at 3.99 kilometers, there is a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the scenery.
