This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the beautiful Laghetti del Dardagna area. The trail covers a distance of 17.771 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1193 meters, so be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll come across the Fontana Loc. 2 Ponti fountain, just 0.17 kilometers from the beginning, where you can fill up your water bottles before embarking on the journey. Along the way, you'll encounter various ruins such as Monte Cappelbuso and Monte Luzzo, each with its own historic significance.
As you continue on, you'll pass by several picnic sites and BBQ areas, perfect for taking a break and enjoying a meal surrounded by nature. Make sure to check out the Selletta del Cappelbuso saddle, located 5.2 kilometers into the hike, offering stunning panoramic views.
