This extremely difficult 24.246-kilometer long hike to Dürrkarhorn will take you approximately 9 hours and 49 minutes to complete. The trail starts at the parking area and leads you through challenging terrain with a total elevation gain of 1687 meters.

As you make your way along the route, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will pass by Passauer Hütte, an alpine hut where you can take a break and refuel. About midway through the trail, you will come across Mittagsscharte, a saddle that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the route, you will find the Terrasse viewpoint, providing a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the scenery.

One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Dürrkarhorn, located approximately 12.12 kilometers from the start. From this vantage point, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the area. Other notable points of interest include Metzhorn peak and the cave entrances along the trail.
