This challenging 8.613-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through breathtaking alpine scenery in the region. Starting at a convenient parking area, you will begin your journey towards the first point of interest, the Rifugio Auronzo Alpine Hut located just 0.08 kilometers from the start.
As you continue on the trail, you will pass by the Passportenscharte saddle at 2.69 kilometers from the start, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Further along, at 3.1 kilometers, you'll encounter the majestic Monte Paterno peak, a perfect spot for a photo opportunity.
At around 3.99 kilometers, you can take a break at the Dreizinnenhütte - Rifugio Locatelli alle Tre Cime, a charming alpine hut where you can refuel with some local cuisine. Nearby, the Forcella Lavaredo saddle at 2.25 kilometers offers a serene resting place with its stunning views.
Midway through the hike, you'll find informational points providing insights into the area's history and geology. Make sure to check out the viewpoints at 2.35 kilometers and 3.79 kilometers for stunning vistas of the landscape.
Towards the end of the trail, at 4.26 kilometers, you'll reach the Frankfurter Würstel - Monolite della Salsiccia, a unique rock formation to marvel at. Finally, at 2.86 kilometers from the start, you'll come across a historic memorial, adding a poignant touch to your hike.
