This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Sextner Stein - Sasso di Sesto. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 9.428 kilometers and an elevation gain of 219 meters, making it a difficult hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking facilities for your convenience. As you continue your hike, you will come across Rifugio Auronzo, an alpine hut located just 0.08 kilometers from the start, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.
Further along the trail, at around 1.71 kilometers from the start, you will find Rifugio Lavaredo, another alpine hut and restaurant where you can stop for a meal. As you approach the midpoint of the hike, you will reach Passportenscharte, a saddle located 2.69 kilometers from the start, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing on, you will pass by Monte Paterno, a peak located 3.1 kilometers from the start, and make your way to Forcella Lavaredo, a saddle located 2.25 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will also come across informational points and viewpoints, providing you with interesting facts about the area and great photo opportunities.
As you reach the end of the trail, you will finally arrive at Sextner Stein - Sasso di Sesto, a peak located 4.71 kilometers from the start, where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings.
