This hiking route takes you along the Garnisonsteig trail, offering a total distance of approximately 3.2 kilometers with an elevation gain of 241 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 1 hour and 20 minutes, making it an easy trek suitable for hikers of varying skill levels.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area for your convenience. As you continue on, about 810 meters into the hike, you will reach Rodelhütte, a shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Approximately 1.6 kilometers into the route, you will find a viewpoint that offers stunning vistas of the area.
Along the way, you will also encounter Michl Platzl, a picnic site with benches, perfect for a peaceful rest stop amidst nature. Further into the hike, at around 700 meters from the start, there is an information point providing insights into the surrounding area.
As you progress on the trail, you will come across benches for seating at various points, including one about 350 meters from the start and another at around 810 meters. Additionally, you will spot a wayside shrine with historical significance about 350 meters from the beginning of the route.
Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 1.6 kilometers in, you will find Oberst Richard Pettauer Rastplatz, another picnic site where you can relax before heading back. Close to this spot is an information point for further knowledge about the area.
