This hiking route takes you through the scenic area of Harehøje, offering a mix of historical sites and natural beauty. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 3.754 kilometers and an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across Asserbo slotsruin, a historic castle ruin located just 62 meters from the trail. As you continue on, you will pass by a picturesque water feature at 53 meters from the trail. Midway through the hike, you'll find a parking area just 14 meters from the trail, providing a convenient spot to rest or refuel.
Further along the route, at 590 meters from the start, you'll encounter another water feature. As you approach the 1.88-kilometer mark, you'll reach Harehøje viewpoint, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, you'll also find archaeological sites such as Hvidehøje and Harehøi, adding a historic element to your hike.
For a well-deserved break, there are benches conveniently located at the 1-kilometer mark. Finally, at the end of the trail, you'll reach the peak of Harehøj, where you can take in panoramic views before heading back the way you came.
