This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of 慈沙古道 - 沙田區 Sha Tin District. The trail spans a distance of 3.445 kilometers with an elevation gain of 307 meters, offering a moderate level of difficulty for hikers.

As you embark on this out-and-back trail, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a convenient parking area for your vehicles. As you venture further, about 0.76 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter 恒益商店, a cozy cafe where you can grab a quick snack or beverage.

Midway through the trail, at around 0.83 kilometers, you will reach 沙田坳 Sha Tin Pass, a picturesque saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding natural landscape. Further along the trail, you will find 獅子亭, a shelter where you can rest and take in the scenic views.

Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 1.27 kilometers, you will come across 沙田坳燒烤區一號場 Sha Tin Pass Barbecue Area Site 1, a BBQ area where you can enjoy a delicious meal amidst nature. Additionally, at 1.3 kilometers, you will find another shelter called 甘露亭, providing a peaceful spot to relax before heading back.
