Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Macchialaveta. This circular route covers a distance of 17.24 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1102 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your ascent towards the peak of Monte Macchialaveta. Along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will find Fonte Petrinara, a natural spring where you can refill your water supply. Further along the trail, you will reach Passo del Lupo, a saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
As you continue your journey, you will encounter Colle Leprino and Monte Macchialaveta, the two peaks that offer panoramic views of the region. Make sure to stop by the viewpoints along the way to appreciate the beauty of the area.
