This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area around Monte San Petrone, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 15.305 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1121 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the parking area at the trailhead. Along the way, you will pass by a viewpoint with breathtaking scenery just 0.03 kilometers away from the start. Further ahead, at 0.11 kilometers, you will find a drinking water station to refill your water bottles. As you continue, you will encounter the ruins of the ancient Église Saint-Nicolas church at 1.97 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of history to your hike.
Midway through the trail, at 5.33 kilometers, you will reach the Favalta spring, a serene spot to rest and rejuvenate before continuing your ascent. Nearby, you will also find the Favalta shelter for a comfortable break. Towards the end of the trail, at 7.65 kilometers from the start, you will reach the highlight of the hike - Monte San Petrone peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
