This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Mačkov vrh peak. The trail spans a distance of 9.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 411 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.

Starting at the trailhead, you will find parking facilities conveniently located at the beginning of the route. As you make your way towards Mačkov vrh, you will pass by a restaurant named Javornik about 0.02 kilometers from the start, providing a great spot to grab a meal before or after your adventure.

Around the midway point, you will reach the peak of Mačkov vrh, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape. This peak is located approximately 4.7 kilometers from the start of the trail. Additionally, Šimljačkov hrib peak is also along the route, situated 3.79 kilometers from the start.
