Welcome to the D 1T hiking route! This challenging trail spans a distance of 5.36 kilometers with an elevation gain of 563 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek for hikers seeking a bit of a challenge.

Starting at the Centro 37 historic fort, located right on the trail, hikers will begin their journey through the picturesque landscape. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by the Téléphérique ruins, a reminder of the area's rich history.

Approximately 1.88 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Ricovero XXI fort, offering a great spot to take a breather and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, you will encounter Le Mauvais Pas saddle, providing a stunning viewpoint of the surrounding natural beauty.

For those interested in peak views, the Torrione Rosso peak is located 1.64 kilometers from the start of the trail, offering panoramic vistas of the area. Along the way, you will also come across informative points such as L'Échelle and various other information points, providing insight into the region's history and landmarks.

As this trail is an out-and-back route, hikers will retrace their steps on the way back, giving you the chance to appreciate the scenery from a different perspective.
